I'm excited to announce that I'm currently featured as a guest artist at the Cheryl Newby Gallery on Pawleys Island, South Carolina where several of my Low country watercolors are on display.
It's been a really fun departure to paint a different landscape from that of Florida. In maybe ways they are very similar...both have shrimp boats which I LOVE to paint. And although the foliage is quite different, they are both very colorful in their own right. It's been fun reading about the history and culture of the Gullah people and adding them to my paintings.
If you are interested in finding out more about these paintings, Kaitee Floyd, the owner at Cheryl Newby Gallery, will be happy to help.
